This is a great time to unite and stand as FILIPINO mountaineers to PLAN for FREEDOM CLIMB 2011 which aims to break the WORLD RECORD CATEGORY: Largest Ascent on a Mountain (Multiple Locations) and will set a new category: LARGEST NUMBER OF PEOPLE SUMMITING MOUNTAINS in 24 HOURS (Multiple Locations).
WORLD RECORD CATEGORY: Largest Ascent on a Mountain (Multiple Locations)
The current record is:The largest number of people climbing mountains at the same time took place during the "Big Event" on September 10, 2000 when 600 people simultaneously scaled 112 mountains in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Whereas, in the first category, the participants were only required to complete at least 1,000 feet of the climb in order to be counted towards the final total for the record attempt; Freedom Climb 2011 requires the participants to reach the summit to be counted for the record attempt.
Registration has been Extended: until May 31, 2011
Registration fee per climber : 400 php, inclusive tshirt, certificate, baller,guinness id, bagtag, flaglets and tarpaulin for groups with 15 members.
