Run for Life, Run with Dogs

What: Run for Life

When: May 29 , 2011

Where: Bodytone Grounds

To celebrate its 20th year in the fitness industry, Bodytone Lifestyle Center, in coordination with Sugbo Road Runners Club. This run is also considered as the first ever run with dogs, as participants will be encouraged to bring their dogs and let them join them in the run.

The event features the 3K, 5K and 10K divisions. There will also be a 3K kiddie run, 3K run with dogs and the 5K for Bodytone members.

As a fitness center, their aim is to promote running as part of the individual lifestyle. They also hope to raise funds and will give part of the proceeds for the out -of-school youth.

The race will have runners passing through Gorordo Ave.on the way to to Nivel Hills.

The Turning point for the 3K is the University of the Philippines Cebu and JY Mall for the 5K.

Registration fee is P250, inclusive of singlet, race bib and refreshments after the race.

Interested runners can register at Bodytone Lifestyle Center, Cebu City Sports Center, Runnr Ayala and Bukas Loob Sa Diyos Office at Capitol Site.

Bicycle Fun Ride

What: “Bicycle Fun Ride” 

When: May 22, 2011

Where: Pag-IBIG parking area in Ayala Center Cebu and end at the Talisay Sports Complex in barangay Poblacion, Talisay City in southern Cebu.

Fund-raising activity by the Cebu city-based covenant community Bukas Loob sa Diyos (BLD).This is part of a fund-raising campaign for the construction of a covenant house in Sibonga town, southern Cebu.

Required bike ride speed of 15 to 20 kph.

Registration fee is PhP200. There will be free snacks, raffle draw with mountain bike and BMX bicycle as prizes and other freebies.

Entry forms are available in all bike shops, BLD secretariat and at the Pag-IBIG parking area or Talisay Sports Complex.

Route: From Pag-IBIG, participants will then pedal towards Escario, left turn to Osmeña Boulevard, right turn to B. Rodriguez Avenue, left turn to V. Rama Avenue until Natalio Bacalso Avenue, right turn to Tabunok, then left to Sangi Road, passing San Isidro, Dumlog then to Poblacion, the finish line.

What: 1st UP Fun Run 

When: May 1, 2011

Where: UP Cebu Oblation square in Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City

Registration fees are P200 for the 3k, P250 for the 6k and P300 for the 12k—which include a singlet and the bib number. UP high school and college students have P50 discount when they represent their IDs.

Interested participants may register at the UP High School faculty office from Monday to Friday and at the RUNNR outlet in Ayala Mall from Friday to Sunday. 

A group of four participants may register for the 3k Barkada Run where they will be tied to each other by the waist. 

Door prizes await the winners and special category awards will be given out.

The turning points are at JY Square for the 3-K race, I.T. Park for the 6-K and Banilad Town Center for 12-K. The second turning point will be at Marco Polo Hotel.
